Delwin Doyle Houser

Delwin Doyle Houser, age 81, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away July 30, 2020. He was born October 8, 1938, in Lockesburg, Arkansas, the son of Alvie and Maxine (Stallard) Houser. Delwin was joined in marriage September 1984 to Carol Handing. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Delwin was a skilled craftsman who took pride in his creations and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He was self-employed in the roofing industry for over 50 years. Delwin inherited a passion for rockhounding, which he passed along to his grandson, and a love for horses that he shared with his granddaughter. In his retirement years he was able to focus on his hobbies of gardening, caring for horses, and woodworking on his farm. Delwin will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Delwin is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol Houser of the home; his stepchildren: Brian Boulware and Rebecca Welsh; and two grandchildren.
