Donald “Rex” Stumpff
Donald “Rex” Stumpff, age 77, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born October 26, 1942 in Cato, Missouri the son of Donald and June (Blankenship) Stumpff. On July 3, 1964 in Cassville he was united in marriage to Janice Walters, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Donnie Stumpff and his wife Teresa of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter Lora Driver and her husband Phillip of Cassville, Missouri; two brothers, Max Stumpff and his wife Yvonne and Roger Stumpff and his wife Gaye all of Cassville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Dillon and his wife Savanna, Parker and his wife Ashley, Shania and her husband Cody, McKenzie and Summer and nine great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two nieces.
Rex received his education in Cassville and graduated with the Cassville Class of 1960. He then attended Moler Barber College in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated in 1961. For fifty-nine years he was a barber in Cassville and also had owned and operated two restaurants. For twelve years he served as Barry County Clerk. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Cassville. Rex loved elk hunting but what he loved most was being surrounded by his family. He never met a stranger and would give you his last penny.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Donnie Spears will conduct the services. Burial will be at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
