Doris Pearl Moen
Doris Pearl Moen, age 92, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away, with family at her side, Thursday, July 2, 2020, in her home. She entered this life March 27, 1928, in Durand, Wisconsin, the daughter of Bliss and Mable (Seeley) Wolcott. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
A devoted Christian, Doris shared her faith with those she knew and those she met. She and her family took many trips doing primitive camping. The more remote, the better. This also included fishing and whitewater canoeing. Doris was family oriented and was a natural hostess, always providing food and drinks to anyone visiting or in need. She lived an excellent
example for her family and those around her to follow and imitate for the good of others. She will be greatly missed.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claire Thomas Moen; and two sisters: Eunice Bower and Blanche Harrison.
She is survived by daughter, Holly Moen of Wisconsin; and four sons: Greg (Suzanne) Moen of Wisconsin, Jeffrey (Karen) Moen of Bolivar, Missouri, Tim (Carmen) Moen of Cabool, Missouri, and Dale (Mona) Moen of Lake Hallie, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many friends in the Chippewa Valley area.
A memorial Zoom meeting will be planned to celebrate Doris’s life with those of distant places. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
