Douglas “Doug” O’Connor

Douglas “Doug” O’Connor, age 70, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away October 26, 2019. He was born May 27, 1949, in San Mateo, California, the son of James Francis and Mary Lydia (Pritchard) O’Connor. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Doug proudly served our country in the United States Army, Navy, Army Reserves and Naval Reserves. Doug was a tank commander and a Viet Nam veteran. After his discharge from the service, Doug was a lineman with Pacific Gas and Electric. He enjoyed camping and fishing in the great outdoors as well as volunteering his time coaching football and baseball. Most of all, Doug was very supportive of his family and will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Doug is survived by his daughter, Katie Causey and husband Jason of Harrison; a son, Sean O’Connor of South Carolina; five grandchildren: Ethan, Paige, James, Ashelynn and Grace; two sisters: Geri O’Connor and Louise O’Connor, both of California; and a brother, Jim O’Connor of California.
