Edward “Ed” Dale Evans

Edward “Ed” Dale Evans, age 66, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home January 18, 2021, with his family by his side. He was born February 16, 1954, in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Ralph and Virginia (Buell) Evans. They have preceded him in death. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps After his service to his country, Ed began a lifelong career as a carpenter and contractor, retiring from the Carpenters Local #174 in Joliet, Illinois. Ed enjoyed history, firearms and was an avid reader with Steinbeck being his favorite author. Ed was a member of the National Rifle Association and the First Baptist Church, Branson, Missouri. A brilliant man of many talents, he will be missed by his family and friends.


Ed is survived his loving wife of 43 years, Cindy (Leach) Evans of the home; a son, Adam Evans and wife Katrina of Hollister, Missouri; two grandchildren: Emerson Evans and Malia Evans, both of Hollister, Missouri; and a sister, Lynda Schnitz of Somonauk, Illinois.


Inurnment with full military honors will be held later at Missouri Veterans Cemetery,
