Elizabeth “Liz” Arlene Reed
Elizabeth “Liz” Arlene Reed, age 79, of Fordland, Missouri, passed away after a brief illness July 26, 2020. She entered this life February 19, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Garland and Adeline (Brooks) Reed. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Owner and operator of her own restaurant, Don’s Pizza in Seymour, Missouri, Liz was a member of the Culinary Union Local 226 of Las Vegas, NV. Living a full life, she was often found reading, dancing, going to yard sales and thrift stores, watching crime shows, and visiting casinos. She was vibrant and lively with much love to share. Liz loved her family and has made many memories over the years. She will be greatly missed.
Liz is preceded in death by her parents; second husband; Donald Gene Stewart; fourth husband, Gail Cox; and four siblings: Clayton Reed, Loeita Reitz, Keith Reed, and Melvin Reed.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlene (Joe) Hieatt of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter, Darlene Jackson of Biloxi, Mississippi; son, Larry (Geraldine) Jackson of Silverdale, Washington; son, Jeffery Jackson of Louisville, Kentucky; and son, Jason (Danielle) Stewart of Fordland, Missouri. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Daniel Hieatt, Jonathan Hieatt, Jesse Lupton, Nicholas McCarthy, Marie Leeks, Deja Rei Jackson, Gerrod DeGuzman, McLeod Stewart, Donevon Stewart, and Sequoyah Stewart; eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; first husband, Golden Jackson; and third husband, Ronald Schlossberg.
Private family services are currently planned. She will be buried in the Bunkers Woodlawn Cemetery in Las Vegas, NV.
