Elza Lee Cornog
Elza Lee Cornog, 80 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 6th, 2021 at his home in Rockaway Beach, MO. A memorial service officiated by Jack Clemmons will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 13th at The Grand Pavilion, Westgate Branson Woods Resort
2201 Roark Valley Road in Branson.
Elza was born on Sunday, July 28, 1940 to Chester and Bonnie (Tittsworth) Cornog in Taney County, Missouri where he grew up. At the age of twenty, he joined the United States Army and served in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1963 as a Specialist 4th Class. In 1968 he met and married Janice and helped raise her daughter Ronda in California where they were blessed by another daughter, Lisa Gail. Lee was a very hardworking man and retired from Patterson Frozen Foods in Patterson, California after over thirty years. After retirement, he returned to his boyhood home in Missouri. He worked at Fastcos before finally retiring for good. On May 15, 1999 he married his Best Friend Pat in Rockaway Beach, MO where they made their home for twenty-two years.
Throughout his life Elza “Lee” had a love affair with horses. He loved riding them and racing his favorite horse Rojo down the canal bank. Lee and Rojo were best buddies and no one could ride Rojo except Lee. He believed in laughing and having a good time and making others laugh.
He was also a caretaker, caring for family and friends willing to lend a hand when needed.
Elza is survived by his wife Pat; his daughters, Ronda LaFollete (Brian) and Lisa Ramsey (Randy); granddaughter, Haylee Brewer (Jesse), granddaughter, Tara and grandson, James LaFollett; great-granddaughter, Rylee Grimes. Also surviving is one brother Frank Cornog and one sister Wilma Cantrell. Also many nieces and nephews who will all miss him greatly..
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack, Truman and Dave.

Cremation is under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO.
