Evadene Leda Myers

Evadene Leda Myers, age 85, of Kimberling City, Missouri, passed away on November 24, 2020. She entered this life on July 14, 1935, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Roscoe and Edith (Seibert) Robertson. Evadene married Harold L. Myers on January 30, 1953. They lived in Maplewood, Missouri, and attended Maplewood Baptist Church until they moved to Ellisville, Missouri, in 1964. Once there, they attended First Baptist Church of Ellisville and led the youth ministry at that church for many years.

Evadene sold real estate in St. Louis’s West County for many years. She and Harold moved to Kimberling City, Missouri, in 1995 and joined the First Baptist Church in Kimberling City, where they quickly became active in all types of ministries, including the Shoebox and Flag ministries. She loved knitting hats for a good cause and participating in all the activities at her local church. Evadene was enthusiastic about volunteering as much as possible. She started the Flag ministry with her friends to honor the congregation’s loved ones with a flag and to show respect for those who served our country. Evadene will be greatly missed and the memories of her discipleship.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Myers; daughter, Janis Arlene Myers Derrington; sister, Laveda Pearl Ferron; parents, Roscoe and Edith Robertson; granddaughter, Erica Nicole Litzau; and her infant daughter.

Evadene is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Litzau of Liberty, Missouri; granddaughter, Tori Litzau of Liberty, Missouri; niece, Pam Cannon of Troy, Missouri; nephew, Dale Pendleton of Naples, Florida; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
