Gail Dixon

Celebration of life service for Gail Dixon, 88, Kirbyville, will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2 PM at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Pastor Paul Michel will officiate. Burial will follow at the Mincy Cemetery, Mincy, Mo. Gail entered into rest on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 at her home.

Gail Dixon

Gail Ann Dixon was born February 4, 1933 in Kansas City, Mo. she was the daughter of Stance and Mamie (Rose) Schudy. They moved to Taney county while Gail was a young girl. Gail graduated from Hollister High School in 1950. She attended St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield, Mo. where she graduated and received her nursing degree. Gail worked at a hospital in St. Louis for a short time before returning to Taney County.

She met Carl Dixon and they were married Jan. 7, 1956 at Point Lookout, Mo. Gail and Carl were blessed with three sons. Gail was a Registered Nurse at Skaggs Hospital in Branson and worked for Dr. Threadgill. She became one of three Taney county nurses. Gail worked alongside Dr. Mary for the county. She served the county for twenty-five years as a Registered Nurse. Gail served as a member of the Taney County Ambulance Board. She was also honored for her donation of several gallons of blood.

Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Carl.

Gail is survived by her three sons; Steve Dixon (Pattie); Sam Dixon; Stu Dixon (Beth) all of Kirbyville; two brothers Bud Schudy (Jean) of Sacramento, Calif.; Jim Schudy (Susan) of Kirbyville, Mo.; five granddaughters, Gina Van Horn (Jordan), Stefanie Guzman (Alonso), Raechel Hayden, Madison Dixon and Hannah Dixon and one grandson Austen Wicks; four great grandchildren Hayden Marshall, Mason Cody, Emma Guzman and Wesson Guzman.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 24th from 12:30 PM till service time at 2PM at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
