Gary Lynn Phillips

Gary Lynn Phillips, age 62, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born September 20, 1958 in Berryville, Arkansas, the son of Edward Eugene and Kathleen Francis (Aery) Phillips. Gary and Mary Phillips made a home together for fifteen years. They exchanged vows on September 20, 2013 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife Mary Phillips; one stepson, Eric Davis and his wife Nicole of Denver, Colorado; two step-daughters, Katie Sparks and her husband Billy of Wellston, Oklahoma and Kristen Sims and her husband John of Newalla, Oklahoma; two brothers, Larry Phillips and his wife Barbara of Cassville, Missouri and Buford “Bud” Phillips and his wife Jean of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Joy Phillips of Shell Knob, Missouri; three grandchildren, Abby, Mia and Riley and many loving nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers, Robert Phillips, James Phillips and Kenneth (Tad) Phillips and one nephew, Zack Phillips.

Gary spent most of his life in this area and graduated from Exeter High School. He was a self-employed construction worker. He liked hunting, gardening, four-wheeling through the hollow and working on things. He loved his dogs but especially loved his grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Russell Cemetery in Butterfield, Missouri under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.

Life Celebration to follow service at Gary’s house – bring a chair and memories. Contributions may be made to Russell Cemetery in memory of Gary.
