Gaylen W. Taylor

Gaylen W. Taylor, age 66, of Monett, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Rocky Comfort, Missouri.

He was born August 10, 1953 in Shell Knob, Missouri the son of Lewis and Zelma (Periman) Taylor, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Randall Taylor.

Surviving are one son, Gaylen Taylor, Jr. and his son, Layton of Highland, Illinois; one daughter, Katie Neely and her children, Kali, Harley and Conner of Monett, Missouri; one step-daughter, Bobbie Jo Weiss and her husband Chad of Highland, Illinois and two sisters, Annitta Latshaw and her husband Michael of Monett, Missouri and Janice Ann Greek and her husband Larry of Cassville, Missouri.

Gaylen received his education in Cassville. He became a truck driver and continued that profession his entire life. He attended Chapel of Grace Church in Monett. One of the things he loved was to “Wheel and Deal” and he enjoyed life and telling tall tale stories. The most important thing in his life was his love for his grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 27, 2020 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jimmie Copley will conduct the services. Burial will be at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday at Fohn Funeral Home.
