Glen Eugene Coope

Glen Eugene Cooper was born April 23, 1934 to Charles and Mae (Nichols) Cooper. He died after a short illness on October 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Cooper, his parents and his six brothers and sisters, Cecil Cooper, Blanch Lee, Edmon Cooper, Elsie Phillips, Olen Cooper and Bernice Hughes.

Glen was born in Wheaton, Missouri, and lived most of his life there. He married Norma Poe in 1952, and they had one son, Raymond Cooper (Diane) who survives along with two grandchildren, Jaclyn (Ryan) Desch, Jennifer (Justin) Goff and five great grandchildren. After his wife passed away in 2015, he moved briefly to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where he died.

He farmed and did various jobs until he went to work at EFCO in Monett where he worked for 30 years. He was a regular church attendee at Ridgley Assembly of God in Ridgley, Missouri, and then at Northside Christian Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He enjoyed camping, attending blue grass, country and gospel concerts and going to Branson and Silver Dollar City.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 19, 2020 at Muncie Chapel Cemetery in Wheaton, Missouri. Mathew Young will conduct the services.
