Harvey “Corky” Logan Chiles III
Harvey “Corky” Logan Chiles III, Branson West, MO, son of Harvey and Marseille (Dodd) Chiles, was born November 24, 1942 in Memphis, TN and departed this life on September 26, 2020 at the age of 77.
Corky had been a resident of the area for thirteen years, moving here from Memphis, TN. He served as a Chaplin for law enforcement for many years after serving in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #680 in Kimberling City, American Legion Post 1000, Scottish Rite Free Masonry, member of the General Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons and Abou Ben Adhem Shriners.
Corky was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Van Camp Chiles.
Survivors include: his wife, Darlys (Fay) Chiles of Branson West, MO; five sons, Harvey Logan Chiles IV of Las Vegas, NV, Kevin Chiles and wife, Dawn of Memphis, TN, Devin Chiles and wife, Erika of Hernando, MS and Jay Steed and wife, Kim of Branson West, MO; two daughters, Beth Movan and husband, Jeff of MS and Christie Thomas of Kimberling City, MO; two sisters, Connie Freudenberg of Memphis, TN and Camille Vlasak and husband, Mark of Collierville; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Mason Service and funeral services for Corky will be held Thursday, October 1, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at Stumpff Funeral Chapel Kimberling City, MO with Jerry Jenkins officiating. Burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers family has requested donations be given to Shriners Children Burn Center.
