Harvey William Sparks Jr.

Harvey William Sparks Jr., age 71, of Branson, Missouri, passed away suddenly on June 8, 2021. He entered this life on August 11, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Harvey William Sparks Sr. and Dorothy Francis (Bost) Sparks. Harvey was joined in marriage on April 27, 2019, to Rebecca Ann Brinton.

Harvey proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. A truck driver for thirty-five years, Harvey visited many locations. He was a Royals and Chiefs fan, watching the games any chance he could. Harvey was an avid bowler and dart player. He loved spicy food, especially Mexican. A true patriot, Harvey believed in President Donald J. Trump’s mission to make America great again. He loved time with his sons and family. Harvey will be cherished in the hearts that knew and loved him.



He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patsy Kirby.




Harvey is survived by his wife of two years, Rebecca Sparks; three sons: Ryan Sparks of Wy Co, Kansas, Sean Sparks of Olathe, Kansas, and Jimmy Sparks of Shawnee, Kansas; and daughter, Tamera Wilcox of California. He is also survived by stepson, James Brinton of Merriam, Kansas; stepdaughter, Shannon Rode of Jacksonville, Florida; stepson, Harry Patrick Brinton of Kissimmee, Florida; twenty-five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Sparks of Lake Lotawana, Missouri; and brother, Lee Sparks of Naples, Florida.
