Ida May Forrester

Ida May Forrester, age 76, of Kimberling City, Missouri, passed away Saturday November 30, 2019. She entered this life March 29, 1943, in Clay Center, Kansas, the daughter of Edward and Vera (Dunable) Nordstrom. She was joined in marriage June 6, 1980, to Duane Forrester. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Ida May proudly served our country in the United States Army. She was a giving, loving, and caring person who never met a stranger and got along with anyone she met. She faithfully attended her church in Kimberling City. Ida May loved boating on Table Rock Lake and going to the casinos. Most of all, she loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She has made many friends over the years and will be greatly missed.

Ida May is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Scott James; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Walters.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Duane Forrester; daughter, Tammy Hathcoat-Forrester of Kimberling City, Missouri; son, Jeff (Leslie) James of Wakefield, Kansas; grandchildren: Kristen, Ashley, Afton, and Caden; eight great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnn Fouse of Garden City, Kansas; four brothers-in-law: Gary (Aggie) Forrester, Steven (Karen) Forrester, Kevin (Suzy) Forrester, and Roy Walters; three sisters-in-law: Rita (Jim) LeBarge, Susan Wood, and Carolyn (Gary) Tyree.
