James R. Langley
James R. Langley, age 76, of Shell Knob, Missouri passed away October 13, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born July 29, 1944 in Mankato, Minnesota, the son of Charles D. and Elsie (Kruse) Langley. On March 10, 1984 he was united in marriage to Karen Jones, who passed away on January 17, 2013. Also preceding him in death were his parents; five brothers, Don, Richard, John, Robert and Mike Langley; three sisters, Alice, Ruth and Joyce.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Schlecht and her husband Brad of Scribner, Nebraska; Tara Ratzlaff and her husband Kurt of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; one son, Chad Fischer and his wife Stacie of Eagle, Idaho; one sister, Mary Kock of, Florida; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
James attended High School in Springfield, South Dakota. He worked as a dispatcher for Alumax in Yankton, South Dakota. After moving here from Volin, South Dakota in 2009 he enjoyed doing barbecue for Country Fresh Market/Harter House in Shell Knob, Missouri. He attended Trinity Presbyterian Church in Shell Knob, Missouri. Visiting with people, fishing and card games were a few of his favorite things to do. He especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.
