Jean Myrtle Brockert

Jean Myrtle Brockert, age 86, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away February 15, 2020. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on February 16, 1933, the daughter of Frederick and Myrtle Jean Dannecker. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Jean moved to Alaska in 1950, where she took a job working for the FBI. She met her husband Jack in Anchorage and they raised their children at their lakefront cabin. She loved flying with her husband in their small plane and boating on the lake. In retirement she moved to Branson, where she worked at the Lawrence Welk Theatre. Jean was very proud of her condo at Pt. Lookout which she had lovingly decorated.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Brockert; three brothers: Danny Dannecker, Bill Dannecker, and Norm Dannecker; and three sisters: Helen Gayheart, Virginia Lacey, and Ruth Griffin.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Honkola; son, Peter Brockert; five grandchildren: Christian Brockert, Isaiah Brockert, Reeve Flora, Julia Peckham, and Matt Honkola; and six great-grandchildren: Gracie, Elliott, Una, Sulho, Hilde, and Sigrid.
