Jeffrey “Jeff” Scott Weeden

Jeffrey “Jeff” Scott Weeden, age 65, of Jasper, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on December 5, 2019. He entered this life July 19, 1954, in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, the son of William and Margaret (MacIntosh) Weeden. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

A master in the craft of lathe woodworking, Jeff owned his own business, Weeden Woodworks. With a green thumb, he was a horticulturist and orchardist, grafting fruit trees. Jeff acquired other hobbies, including fishing for trout and small mouth bass, playing on a pool team, and becoming a blues drummer. He started the Arkansas Blues Connection in 1983 and was currently starting the Arkansas Jazz and Blues Crew. Jeff was a kindhearted man who will be missed by many.

He is survived by his caregiver and best friend, Kathleen Sparks of Jasper, Arkansas; brother, Darrell Weeden of Jasper, Arkansas; brother, David Weeden of Middle Town, Rhode Island; and many nieces and nephews.
