Jerome (Jerry) Richard Pfister, 71, the youngest son of Rolla B. Pfister and Eugenia G. Kiczak was born on August 17, 1949 and passed away on May 3, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Jerry Pfister

Jerry enjoyed a happy childhood growing up on the family farm in Houston, Missouri along with his five brothers. Jerry was a graduate of Houston High School. He was a sub-contractor for Bell Telephone for many years, working as a Telephone Field Representative to acquire land leases. Jerry had many interest in life, but the greatest was his love of flying. His interest in aviation developed early as he saw his Aunt Marsha fly over the family farm when visiting. This love of flying drove him to fly again after a debilitating illness. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, enjoying many hours in the cockpit of his Piper PA-16 Clipper.

He is survived by his two brothers, James Pfister of Summerville, South Carolina and David Pfister of Kissee Mills, Missouri, and two children.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Dennis and Fred Pfister.

At Jerry’s request, no services will be held.

Cremation is under the direction of the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home, Forsyth, Missouri.
