John Charles Swift

John Charles Swift, Kimberling City, MO, son of Theodore and Marie (Verfurth) Swift, was born August 1, 1948 in Springfield, MO and departed this life on January 25, 2020 at the age of 71.

John Swift

John had been a resident of the area for twenty-seven years, moving here from Tulsa, OK. He worked in marketing and sales for the entertainment industry. He was a member of Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church in Kimberling City, MO and the Knights of Columbus.

John was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Stephen Swift.

Survivors include: his wife, Wally Swift of Kimberling City, MO; two sons, Greg Swift and fiance’, Kim Sumrall of Springfield, MO and Ryan Cox of Houston, TX;

four daughters, Stephanie Gehrig and husband, Matthew of Maywood, NJ, Christie Lierman and fiance’, J.B. Brower of Tulsa, OK, Kelly Erickson and husband, Russ of McKinney, TX and Stacy Price and husband, Jeremy of Bixby, OK; two brothers, Ted Swift and wife, Patsy of Warsaw, MO and Tommy Swift and wife, Sharon of Pierce City, MO; three sisters, Mary Janice Fabro and husband, Larry of Billings, MO, Barbara Dees of Olive Branch, MI and Regina Howell and husband, Kenny of Springfield, MO; fifteen grandchildren, Ali Bower, Cassie Henry, Trey Lierman, Courtney Erickson, Jake Hargis, Rebecca Erickson, Jordan Gehrig, Grant Lierman, Thomas Gehrig, Kooper Sumrall, Grayson Sumrall, Kora Sumrall, Hudson Price, Collin Price and Phoebe Swift; 2 great grandchildren, Penelope Henry and Wylie Brower and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation and Rosary will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church Kimberling City, MO. Mass services will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cove Catholic Church Kimberling City, MO with Father Joji Vincent presiding and Deacon Daniel Vaughn concelebrating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
