John Dixon, age 65, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his home.
He was born September 11, 1953 in Jerome, Idaho, the son of John Pritchett and Gertie Levone (Lewellan) Dixon. On September 12, 2005 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Debra C. Dixson, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Brad Dixon of Indio, California, Robert Clark of San Diego, California and Aaron Clark and his wife Amy of San Diego, California; one daughter, Alex Koupal of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother, Wally Dixon of Wendall, Idaho; two sisters, Reta Strout and Kay Bowcutt, both of Idaho and five grandchildren, Mazie, Audra, Sadie, Kayla and Olive.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Steve and one sister, Valerie.
John grew up in Idaho and graduated from Wendell High School and then received further schooling to become a licensed mortician. For many years he was the owner and CEO of High Tech Irrigation. In April of 2018 he moved from Indio, California to Shell Knob to make his home. Some of his favorite pastimes were bass fishing, hunting, nature photography, being outdoors and enjoying nature. He enjoyed his family and friends and was known for telling very good jokes. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Memorial services will be held June 22, 2019 in Palm Desert, California.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.
Contributions may be made to Camp Table Rock or University of Kansas Cancer Center in memory of John.
