John Edward Long

John Edward Long age 82 of Branson, Missouri passed away on May 17, 2021 in Branson, Missouri.

John Long

He was born on July 7, 1938 in Ottawa, Illinois the son of Everette and Mary Stiles Long. He was united in marriage to Carol Pyatt on June 8, 1958 in Granville, Illinois and to this union was born three children.

John and his wife Carol, of 62 years moved to Branson from the Chicago area in 2001 after being employed in the retail community for 45 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who always had a story to tell and never met a stranger. He will be sadly missed by his family and the many people whose lives he touched. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Branson. His Lord was first and foremost in his life. He enjoyed fishing on Table Rock Lake.

John is survived by his wife; Carol Long of the home in Branson. Three children; Cindy Seme (Michael) of Kimberling City, Missouri, Darrell Long (Tammy) of Plainfield, Illinois and Donald Long of Merriam Woods, Missouri. One brother; Kenneth Long of St. George, Utah, one sister; Pat McAleese Brown of Arvada, Colorado. Four grandchildren; Kevin Long, Cassie Jo Luedte, Michelle Drescher and Jamie Kamphuis and two great grandchildren; Madison & Mollie Drescher and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 Pm, Monday, June 7, 2021 at the First Presbyterian Church in Branson with Pastor Tom Willcox and Rev. Chris Williams officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson. The family has asked that everyone wear masks at the services.
