John "Jack" Lee Martin, Jr.

John “Jack” Lee Martin Jr., age 65, of Lampe, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home June 3, 2019. He entered this life March 11, 1954, in Bryan, Texas, the son of John Sr. and Jessie “Kathryn” (Davis) Martin. His father has preceded him in death.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Jack loved all music, but his passion was for playing Jazz. He played many places around Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri over the years. Jack and the piano/keyboard were as one when he sat to play. He also enjoyed the outdoors while hiking, playing tennis, riding bikes and four-wheelers, and traveling. Jack was a great cook and a great lawyer. Those who knew him in the last few years remember him as “politically opinionated.” He was not afraid to speak his mind. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

Jack is survived by his mother, Kathryn Martin of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Shannon (Christopher) Sulzen of Rogers, Arkansas; son, Miles Martin of Cave Springs, Arkansas; daughter, Grace (Shelby) Billups of Cave Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren: Jared, Elias, Brantley, and Oliver; significant other, Colleen Hodge of Kimberling City, Missouri; brother, Bill (Melissa) Martin of Dallas, Texas; sister, Sally Shockley of Windsor, Colorado; brother, David Martin of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and former wife, Holly Allen of Rogers, Arkansas.

A memorial Mass is being planned for a later time. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
