Updated: Apr 13, 2020

Kenneth “Cy” Mark Kanyuh Jr., age 67, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020. He entered this life August 27, 1952, in Norway, the Upper Peninsula, Michigan, the son of Kenneth Kanyuh Sr. and Joyce (Larson) Kanyuh. His mother has preceded him in death. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Cy Kanyuh

Known as a “Parrothead,” Cy was always listening to Jimmy Buffett music and dressing in themed attire: shorts and Hawaiian shirts. Loving the sunshine and keeping his tan, he could be found golfing, fishing, or cruising in his pontoon on the lake. With an outgoing personality, Cy was a festive host and enjoyed preparing meals for his guests. Many memories and good times have been made throughout the years and his zest for life will live on in many hearts. He will be greatly missed.

Cy is survived by his father, Kenneth Kanyuh Sr. of Wisconsin; son, Chad Kanyuh of Pensacola, Florida; son, Shannon (Stacey) Kanyuh of Indiana; two grandchildren: Mason and Cheyenne; brother, Rock (Jeanne) Kanyuh of Wisconsin; sister, Shelly (Dan) Edick of Branson, Missouri; and nephews, Cliff, David, and Dakota.

No formal services are currently planned. For future plans, please contact Beverly’s. Memorial contributions may be made to Beverly’s Steakhouse and Saloon. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
