Kenneth Houchin

Funeral services for Kenneth Houchin, 74 of Branson, will be Thursday, June 24, 2021 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by the service at 11:00 AM and burial in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.

Kenneth Houchin

Kenneth Paul Houchin was born May 14, 1947 in Streator, Illinois. He worked many years with Lincoln Land Oil in different roles including overseeing their stock on the New York Stock Exchange and managing their gas station division. In 1990, Kenneth moved to Branson and operated eight retail stores with his wife, Rosa. In 2016, Kenneth sold the businesses and retired. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling and time with his family. Ken made every event fun, he loved to laugh and brought smiles and happiness to those around him.

Kenneth was also meticulous about his lawn. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He cherished time with his grandchildren and he will be missed by all who loved him.

Kenneth entered into rest on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his aunt who raised him, Hazel Garner; sister, Shirley Clark and his son, Scott Houchin.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Rosa Houchin of Branson; children, Stacy Connolly (Richard) of Branson, Robert Houchin (Tracy) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kenny Edmonds (Natasha) of Branson, Patty Houchin of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kevin Edmonds (Becky) of Forsyth, Michelle Houchin of Cedar Rapids, IA along with 16 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, George and Walter Garner of Rockford, IL.
