Larry “Curt” Dell Shuttleworth

Larry “Curt” Dell Shuttleworth, age 84, of Holiday Island, Arkansas, passed away February 28, 2021. He entered this life March 16, 1936, in Marysville, California, the son of Dell and Natalean (Schornstien) Shuttleworth.

Curt has been known by his stage name, Curt Matson, throughout his acting and travelogue (travel documentaries) careers. He traveled America and the world filming and presenting his travelogues. After retiring from travelogues, he began a worldwide radio ministry where he presented a message along with the music of his loving wife Erica Shuttleworth. He left this world in the arms of the Lord whom he had championed.




Curt is preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life for 41 years, Erica Shuttleworth; sister, Bonnie Shuttleworth; and his stepmother, Lucinda “Lucky” Shuttleworth. His is survived by his two sons: Mark Shuttleworth of Tacoma, Washington, and Erik Shuttleworth of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Schafer of Greenbriar, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Christopher, Sarah, Emily, Alex, Rose, and Savanna; and three great grandchildren: Damon, Taylin, and Harley.
