Larry L. Moore

Larry L. Moore, age 73, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his home.

He was born July 31, 1947 in Whittier, California the son of John and Barbara (Fleming) Moore. On June 21, 2003 in Cassville, he was united in marriage to Darcy Newby, who survives.


Also surviving are one son, Jason Moore and his wife Danielle of Carl Junction, Missouri; one daughter Raylene Hart and her husband Don of Cassville, Missouri; one step-son, Matthew Ward of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Ashley Thomsen and her husband Clint of Aurora, Missouri; one sister, Darlyn “DeeDee” Reed of Cassville, Missouri and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Preceding him in death were his father, John Moore; mother, Barbara Moore Wein and one daughter, Alisha Kaye.




Larry graduated from high school in Junction City, Oregon and then served in the United States Marines. In the 1970’s he moved from Oregon to Cassville, where he was employed at Justin Boot for many years as the maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Cassville First Baptist Church. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing and traveling, especially to the ocean. He loved his children and grandchildren and never met a stranger. He was a very thoughtful and caring person and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Memorial services and burial will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.


Contributions may be made to Cassville High School Bass Fishing Team or Shell Knob VFW in memory of Larry.
