Larry Robert Taylor

Larry Robert Taylor, age 73, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born February 25, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Lawrence and Beulah May (Powell) Taylor. On February 14, 1970 he was united in marriage to Debra LaFever, who survives. Also surviving are his step-mother, Willie Taylor of Newton, Kansas; one daughter, Tiffany Scott of Fall Creek, Wisconsin; one half-brother, Johnny Ray Taylor of Topeka, Kansas; one brother-in-law, Clark LaFever and his wife Marie of Lawrence, Kansas; two half-sisters, Shelly Taylor of Newton, Kansas and Bev Hentzen of Tulsa, Oklahoma and one granddaughter Emily Casey.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one half-brother, Jimmie Taylor.

Larry grew up and received his education in Hayesville, Kansas, where he graduated high school. For many years he worked for Boeing Aircraft in quality assurance. Most of his life he lived in Wichita before moving to Shell Knob in 2007 to make his home. He enjoying boating on the lake and hot cars.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Benton Cemetery in Benton, Kansas under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob.

Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Larry.
