Laurie Jo Whitcanack

Laurie Jo Whitcanack, age 67, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Hartland Apartments in Cassville.

She was born July 5, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Glen and Virginia (Bentley) Whitcanack, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Glen Whitcanack Jr, Robert Whitcanack and Bentley Whitcanack and one sister, Pat Havens.

Surviving are one daughter, Virginia Easley and her husband Donny of Cassville, Missouri; one sister, Debbie Windeler and her husband Ed of Prescott, Arizona and three grandchildren, Jade, Harley and Zander Easley.

Laurie received her education in California and graduated from Galt High School. She attended San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, California and went on to receive her Bachelor Degree from Sacramento State University in Sacramento, California. Twenty-eight years ago, she moved to Cassville, Missouri from Lodi, California. She had previously she worked as a cook and register clerk at Stage Stop in Butterfield, Missouri. She was a member of Cassville First Baptist Church. She would help anyone who needed help and she especially loved her grandbabies.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 2, 2020 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Burial will be at Taggart Royal Oaks Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Cassville First Baptist Church in memory of Laurie.
