Updated: Aug 14, 2020

Linda Jane Idoux, age 67, of Branson, Missouri, passed away August 10, 2020. She entered this life March 14, 1953, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Ivan and Betty (Main) Huston who preceded her in death. Services and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Linda Idoux

After graduating from The School of the Ozarks in 1979, Linda met the love of her life in March 1980, John Vincent Idoux. They were joined in marriage September 12, 1980, and shared 40 years of loyal love. Many special memories were formed through their years together as well as with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Columbia, Illinois. She especially loved her son Alex.

Linda showcased her artistic talents in various roles as a print shop artist for books and newspapers, a floral designer, and spent nine years as an aide for special needs students. In May of 2018, she and John moved to Branson, Missouri, to retire, where she had many friends from growing up in the area. With a smile always on her face, Linda enjoyed her flowers and hummingbirds as well as her pastimes of shopping at yard sales and resale shops. In spite of her fibromyalgia pain, she never complained about it and always silently dealt with it.

Strong in her faith, Linda was a loving mother who was cherished by many. John had an overwhelming love for Linda. Many years ago, he caught the love of his life with Linda. Just as we are in pursuit of that trophy trout, when we finally do catch it, we take a photo of it for our memory and take delight when we release it to watch it swim away. As with Linda, hold tight to the memories as you let her go to be with the God of Heaven and to hear the words “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

She is survived by her husband, John Vincent Idoux; son, Alex Idoux of Pontoon Beach, Illinois; brother, Bob Huston of Buffalo, Missouri; sister, Mary (Charles) Hambrick of Lebanon, Missouri; sister, Pat Braswell of San Diego, California; sister, Judy (Darrell) Groves of Billings, Missouri; brother, Tom (Ruth) Huston of Buffalo, Missouri; sister, Darlene Huston of Springfield, Missouri; sister, Kathy (Anthony) Hill of Live Oak, Florida; several nieces and nephews; and many many friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2020, at Faith Lutheran Church, 221 Malone Dr., Branson, Missouri 65616 with Pastor Joel Krueger officiating. A memorial visitation with be held at 1:00 p.m. before the service.
