Lloyd Dean Cooper

Lloyd Dean Cooper, 84, of Cape Fair, MO, passed away on August 18, 2019.

He was born on November 22, 1934, in Shell Knob, MO, the youngest son of Lowell and Geneva (Sapp) Cooper. On April 30, 1958, he married Annetta Mills.

Lloyd was pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Vaughn Cooper. Survivors are his wife, Annetta Cooper, his children, Lloyd Cooper, Jr. (Mary), Carolyn Carson (Bryan), Andrew Cooper (Shannon), 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandsons, his sister Etta Faye DeMoss and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lloyd served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1957. He owned and operated Cooper Office Machines in Topeka, KS for many years. In 1978, he decided to serve his community by joining the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department where he served honorably as a deputy until his retirement in 1991.

Lloyd was a member of Masonic Lodge #17 in Topeka, KS where he served as Master in 1977.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Ron Barrett officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
