Lonnie Lee Caldwell
Lonnie Lee Caldwell, age 77, of Blue Eye, Missouri, passed away December 17, 2020. Lonnie was born to Edna Mae (Driggs) Caldwell and Ernest Lee Caldwell in Clinton, Missouri, on July 19, 1943. He married Sharon Ann Farmer on June 19, 1965, the day they began a life of love and adventure together.
A kind, generous, and hardworking man, Lonnie earned his bachelor’s degree from CMSU (Central Missouri State University) followed by studies in Aeromechanic School at Municipal Airport Kansas City, Missouri, for his A & P license. He dedicated his career working for TWA for 35 years and continued working three more years when they were acquired by American Airlines. Skilled in woodworking and many other talents with his hands, he built and worked on his own homes. Time outdoors hunting was a favorite pastime. He loved animals, especially Tennessee Walking Horses. With a deep love for others, Lonnie sought ways to help others. He absolutely loved his family and time with them.
Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sharon Caldwell of the home; daughter Sheri (Mike) Jones of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; son, Shane Caldwell of Blue Eye, Missouri; two granddaughters: Sarah Katherine and Anna Elizabeth; and two brothers: Fred Caldwell of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Wilbur (Jackie) Caldwell of Clinton, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Caldwell.
A celebration of life will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Pines Christian Church, Blue Eye, Missouri. Please mark your calendars for this date as we celebrate Lonnie’s life.
