Loretta Kahrl, age 76, of Eagle Rock, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at her home.
She was born January 3, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Sajdak) Pustelnik. On May 17, 1986 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Don Kahrl, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2010. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Leonard Pustelnik and Joey Pustelnik.
Surviving are one son, Matthew Laycock and his wife Jami of Lincoln Park, Michigan; one daughter, Lynn Laycock of Pigeon, Michigan; one step-son, Dustin Kahrl and his wife Kristina of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; adopted daughter, Katie Crawford; five grandchildren, Johnathon, Joey, Jessica, Aron and Jack and four great grandchildren, Anthony, Andre, Emma and Eli.
Loretta grew up and received her education in Detroit where she graduated from high school. In 1986 she moved to Missouri to make her home. For many years she worked as a cashier at Sunfest. Some of her favorite pastimes were bowling, knitting, crocheting. She was a huge Neil Diamond fan and loved the color purple. Simple things made her smile and she was nice to everyone she met. One thing she absolutely loved was her dachshund’s and the time she spent with them. She was a member of the Lion’s Club.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri. Reverend William Hodgson will conduct the services. Burial will be at Lake Park Memorial Gardens in Shell Knob, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time, Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
