Lyle “Sam” Rose

Lyle “Sam” Rose, age 81, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Bentonview Park Health and Rehabilitation in Monett.

He was born March 30, 1938 in Barry County, Missouri the son of Johnny J. and Queen Isabella (Cargile) Rose. On June 21, 1958 he was united in marriage to Helen Periman, who preceded him in death on December 4, 2019. Also preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Charles “Doc” Rose and Loye “Russell” Rose.

Surviving are one son, Randy Rose and his wife Danielle of Rogers, Arkansas; one daughter, Lucinda Rose of Rogers, Arkansas; three brothers, J.D. Rose and his wife Janet of Washburn, Missouri, John Rose and his wife Sue of Republic, Missouri and Glenn Rose and his wife Drucie of Washburn, Missouri; two sisters, Lola Vanzandt and her husband Carroll of Washburn, Missouri and Lula Patrick of Rogers, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Mary Rose of Washburn, Missouri and Ronnie Rose of Cassville, Missouri and two grandchildren, Logan Rose and Madison Holliday and her husband Charles.

Sam grew up and received his education in Washburn, Missouri where he graduated from high school. He had been a machine operator, worked for the shoe factory and preformed line products for electrical lines. For ten years he was employed at the Cassville Golf Course. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cassville. Some of his favorite pastimes were playing golf and playing in the Down Home Blue Grass Band, winning several awards for his music.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Intrepid Hospice in memory of Sam.
