Margaret Louise (Kirchgatter) Daleske

Margaret Louise (Kirchgatter) Daleske, Reeds Spring, MO, daughter of Wilhelm and Mabel (Ditto) Kirchgatter, was born November 19, 1927 in Grafton, Iowa and departed this life on June 23, 2019 at the age of 91.

Margaret had been a resident of the area for thirty-nine years, moving here from Carlisle, Iowa. Before her retirement she worked in the Mill Restaurant at Silver Dollar City. She was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church Kimberling City, MO. She was also active in the Kimberling City Senior Center.

Margaret had a love of travel, the beach, playing autoharp, and genealogy. She was involved in her church as moderator of the Prayer Group. Many weekends we would go on Eagle Drives in the Ozarks.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents; one brother, Robert William; two sisters, Rosemary Allinson and Jean Ann Fridlington and one grandson, Matthew Daleske.

Survivors include: daughter, Karen Balkema of Branson West, MO; four sons, Mike Daleske and wife, Jeri of Pineville, MO; Hannu Niilekselä, exchange student from Finland; John Daleske and wife, Reina of Branson West, MO; and Tom Daleske of Fort Dodge, Iowa; three sisters, Carol Whiteis of Forest City, Iowa, Dolores Frame of KY and Judy Powell and husband, John, of KY; five granddaughters, Kelsey Sutton, Tammy Davis, Becky Bays, Anndi Bergset, and Lauren Jones and Hannu’s children Ville Niilekselä and Pia Niilekselä of Finland; eleven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, July 3rd at 10AM, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Kimberling City, MO with the Reverend Doctor Dixie Voss Anders officiating. The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 30 James River Road, Kimberling City, MO 65686. Burial will be later that day at 2PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, MO.

Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
