Marguerite “Marge” Veronica Grein
Marguerite “Marge” Veronica Grein, age 88, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away August 27, 2019, at home with family nearby. She entered this world August 18, 1931, in Fall River, Massachusetts, the daughter of Morris and Leona (Oulette) King. Marge was united in marriage June 17, 1967, to Theodore “Ted” Grein. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Having a heart of gold, Marge touched many lives “like an angel.” She and Ted fostered 22 foster children and had 15 “adopted” Samoan children who still consider her “mom.” For family, friends, and acquaintances, Marge was always making homemade gifts for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, and other occasions. Helping with charities at all times, she gave of herself for those who had little. All who knew Marge loved her and were loved with a never-ending love that flowed from her heart. The memories made and the love felt will warm many hearts for years to come. She will be greatly missed.
Marge is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammy Grein; brother, Morris King II; and sisters: Irene Fay and Isabelle Ferris.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ted Grein; son, Steve (Lorie) Grein of Sacramento, California; daughter, Luisa (Iakopo) Lealiiee of Hollister, Missouri; granddaughters: Marla Grein of Seattle, Washington, Shannon Grein of Sacramento, California, and Nora Lealiiee of Hollister, Missouri; sister, Maureen Cookson of Fall River, Massachusetts; sister, Jeanie Souza of Tiverton, Rhode Island; sister, Clara Mullen of Danielson, Connecticut; and many other family members and friends.
