Marilyn Eloise Scott
Marilyn Eloise Scott, age 88, of Monett, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation in Cassville, Missouri.
She was born December 9, 1931 in Spencer, Iowa the daughter of William and Mabel Francis (Wells) Potter, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Margie Ann Scott Iverson; one brother, Everett Potter; two sisters, Mabel Nellis and Donna Taylor and one grandchild.
Surviving are six sons, Larry Scott, Dick Scott and his wife Loretta, Ray Scott and his wife Becky, Roy Scott and his wife Deb and Ernie Scott and his wife Marlene all of Iowa and Darrell Scott and Judy Barker of Monett, Missouri; one daughter, Sharon Froisland and her husband Ray of Iowa; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Marilyn grew up and received her education in Spencer, Iowa. She worked on an egg farm in Iowa and then for fourteen years was employed at Campbell Soup in Minnesota. In 1994 she moved from Minnesota to Wheaton, Missouri and eventually moved to Monett to make her home. While in Iowa she taught Sunday School and after moving to Wheaton she joined Solid Rock Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday School. One of her favorite pastimes was listening to services on TV.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Solid Rock Baptist Church east of Wheaton. Pastor Brian Barker will conduct the services. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
