Mary Emma Watson
Mary Emma Watson, age 76, of Omaha, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2019, at home surrounded by her family. She was born November 7, 1943, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, the daughter of Elmore Bob and Mary Edna (Tarlton) White. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Growing up in Walnut Ridge, Mary was one of thirteen children. She was a hardworking woman, who was a machinist during her career. Mary was adored by many. With a contagious laugh, she liked to have fun. Having a green thumb, Mary took great pride in sharing her garden with others. Her family especially remembers strolls with her around her garden as she showed what she had planted each season. Her cooking will be remembered fondly, especially her homemade chicken and dumplings. Mary’s most precious gift to her family was her love for the Lord and her grandkids.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Elmore Bob and Edna White; her husband, Rayburn Watson; and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome Barrett of the home; five children: Mickey (Kathy) Watson of Loves Park, Illinois; Jeff (Pam) Watson of Sardis, Tennessee; Kim Watson of Harrison, Arkansas; Rae Ann (Doug) Baker of Omaha, Arkansas; and Eric (Debbi) Watson of Forsyth, Missouri. She is also survived by several grandchildren: Myra Pitney, Jericca Watson, Jeffrey Watson, Natisha Hutt, Ryan Watson, Jamie Watson, and Shawny Grande; great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Katie Reyes; Preston White, and Bob White.
Celebration of life for Mary will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Harrison, Arkansas, with Zach Pitney and Pastor Kennith Stacy officiating. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
