Mary G. Kearney
Mary G. Kearney, Kimberling City, MO, daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Colvin) Cuno, was born February 9, 1929 in St. Louis, MO and departed this life on February 26, 2021 at the age of 92.
Mary and her husband, Mike Kearney, moved to Kimberling City in 1960 and built Cedarwood Resort and ran it while raising their children. Mary was one of the founders of the Methodist Church in Kimberling City. She was a member of the choir for years. She enjoyed spending time with her church family. She and her husband started Ozark Reality and Construction in 1970 and with her family built
at the time 75% of the homes in what was called Kimberling Hills Subdivision.
Mary was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, loved going to the Senior Center visiting with her friends and playing cards. She volunteered at several organization, always enjoying helping others. She wrote a column for the local newspaper for many years; worked at Silver Dollar City, mainly in the Furniture Store, she was very proud of the local craftsmen and women in the area; she loved fishing and boating on Table Rock Lake. But her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include: three sons, Earl Kearney of Kimberling City, MO, Mike Kearney and wife, Nancy of Las Vegas, NV and Ron Kearney of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter, Mary Jo Mousel and husband, Rich of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Ralph Cuno and wife, Judy of Las Vegas, NV; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
A Memorial service for Mary will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kimberling City United Methodist Church with Reverend Tony Blevins officiating. The family has requested memorial donations be given to the church or the Senior Center.
