Melvin E. Taylor

Melvin E. Taylor, age 79, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born August 5, 1940 in San Diego, California the son of Eugene M. and Emily B. (Lumpkin) Taylor. On April 3, 1987 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth A. Carrow, who preceded him in death on May 5, 2012. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Ann Grosher; two sons, Luke Taylor and Rodney Taylor; two step-sons, James Michael Andrews and William J. Andrews, Jr. and one grandson, Michael Parnell.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald Taylor and his wife Carol of Cassville, Missouri and Donald Taylor and his wife Stacey of Idaho; three daughters, Kandy Parnell of California, Debra Robles of Washington state and Dee Dee of California; two step-daughters, Lisa Cooper and her husband Rick of Cassville, Missouri and Debbie Mulvehill and her husband Bruce of Exeter, Missouri; two sisters, Nelda Baldridge and her husband Harry and Jeanette Thomas; seventeen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Melvin resided in Oklahoma several years and later lived in Houston, Texas. He was a self-employed truck driver and thirty-five years ago moved from Houston to Cassville to make his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Community Faith Chapel in Cassville. Pastor Rick Cooper will conduct the services. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
