Myra Ophelia Ward

Myra Ophelia Ward was born June 9, 1954 in Sheffield, Alabama to Samuel Lester Erwin and Sylvia Willard (Palmer) Erwin. She studied at George Wallace Tech to become a licensed practical nurse and loved to care for her patients in the doctor's office or a hospital setting.

She proudly served as a reservist in the United States Air Force. She married her husband Dave on September 27, 1984 in Omaha, AR. Myra was an avid Alabama football fan, loved cooking for others, and boating. She was a member of several clubs, organizations, and Red Oak Baptist Church of Harrison, Arkansas. She also enjoyed making beautiful stained glass pieces and had a fun collection of several hundred salt and pepper shakers. Her greatest enjoyment came from her family. She entered into rest on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Brighton Ridge in Eureka Springs, AR at the age of 66. Myra was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Willard Erwin.

She is survived by her husband Dave Ward of Hollister; daughters, Lisa Gross (Ron) of Fredericksburg, VA, Angela Gilbert of Branson; step-daughter, Caryn Pace of Jamestown, NY; brother, Phil Erwin (Linda) of Kimberling City; sister, Yvonne Thurman {Richard) of Reeds Spring, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Myra's life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
