Nancy Lynn Scherer, age 70, of Reeds Spring, Missouri, passed away September 2, 2019, at home with her family at her side. She entered this life January 16, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Frances (Johnston) Racine. She was joined in marriage December 29, 1979, to Stephen Scherer. Nancy Lynn Scherer

Nancy worked as a nurse, flight attendant, and in hospitality management for Embassy Suites, Marriott, and the Hotel Grand Victorian locally. She was a loving and caring person admired and loved by many. Nancy loved to travel, walk on the beach, and most of all spend time with her family. She loved nature and the migration of hummingbirds to our feeder every year. Nancy was an avid flower and garden enthusiast with a green thumb. She was very hard working, focused, and dedicated to accomplishing the goals and objective she set out to achieve. Many memories have been made over the years that will be tucked away, and a smile will come to our faces when they are remembered and retold. She will be dearly missed.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Amy Scherer; and a sister, Kathy Ann Racine.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Stephen Scherer; son, Scott (Janette) Scherer of Hastings, Minnesota; daughter, Tamara (Tim) Wallen of Duluth, Minnesota; grandchildren: Kirsten, Alex, Kenneth, and Isabella; great-grandson, Colton; brother, Robert Racine of St. Paul, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, Rascal.

A memorial service is being planned for a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Skaggs Foundation (www.skaggsfoundation.org). To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
