Norman Garland France
Norman Garland France was born September 1, 1934 in Ridgedale, Missouri to John France and Viola (Gross) France. He graduated high school from School of the Ozarks in Pt. Lookout. On October 8, 1954, Norm entered the United States Air Force in Chicago, Illinois. He retired after 21 years of service on October 31, 1975 at Little Rock Air Force Base as a Chief Master Sergeant working with Flight Engineering Support. Norm returned to Kirbyville where he raised his three children, Aimée, Michele and Michael. He also tended his farm in Kirbyville, raising cattle, growing vegetables and fishing when he could.
Norm entered into rest on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his home in Kirbyville at the age of 86.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Connie.
Norm is survived by his three children, Aimée France of Cape Cod, MA; Michele Thompson of Austin, TX; Michael France of Great Falls, MT along with three grandchildren, Sophia France, Grant Thompson and Audrey Thompson as well as several extended family members and friends.
Services will be Tuesday, February 2 at 2PM with Pastor Gene France officiating at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Burial will follow Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson with full Military Honors. Visitation will be held Tuesday at 12:30PM till service time.
