Peter Frantzen

Peter Frantzen died peacefully in his home at the age of 79 on April 1st, 2021 in Forsyth, Missouri. The visitation and funeral service will be at Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home on Saturday, April 10th, 2021 starting at 11 a.m. with Pastor Howard Kenyon officiating. Burial will follow in the Snapp Cemetery, Forsyth, MO.

Peter was born Tuesday, November 11, 1941 in Wilmette, Illinois to Peter and Alice Frantzen. Staying in the Chicago area, Peter attended and graduated from New Trier High School and Monmouth College. After college, Peter moved to St. Louis, Missouri to pursue a career as a Financial Adviser. Aside from being a great businessman, Peter was an even better husband to his wife, Janet. The two met in St. Louis and later married on April 30th, 1966.


Peter is preceded in death by his wife Janet and parents, Pete and Alice Frantzen.



His survivors include his daughter, Kathy Ancell and husband, Chuck of Washington, Mo; son, Chris Frantzen and wife, Michele of Taneyville, Mo; sister, June Cuttino and husband, David of Boston, Ma; and five grandchildren, Olivia, Lauren, Sam, Eric and Bethany.


Peter enjoyed fishing, collecting, and volunteering. His passion for volunteering manifested itself through his involvement in the Forsyth community. In the community, he was a proud and very active member of the Forsyth Lions Club, serving as District Governor and serving on the board of Mid-South Lions. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 453, Shriners Club, Forsyth Chamber of Commerce and served on the board of the Shepherd of the Hills Humane Society. Everyone loved being around Peter as he could always strike up a conversation and had a joke for every occasion.
