Roger Lee Heimerson

Roger Lee Heimerson, age 63, of Merriam Woods, Missouri, passed away March 8, 2020. Born August 5, 1956, in Wichita, Kansas, he was the son of Wilma Pauline (Leach) Heimerson and John Gustaf Heimerson. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Roger Heimerson

Roger proudly served in the U.S. Army with time overseas, including Germany. He then worked as a water quality supervisor for the Wellington Water Treatment in Kansas for more than ten years. His friendly demeanor welcomed others when he volunteered for Homes of Hope in Hollister, Missouri. A man of many skills, Roger was often found fishing, hunting, loading ammo, shooting, or building his craft as a gunsmith. Friends, family, and all who knew him will miss Roger and his work ethic, appreciation for the outdoors, and his witty humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilma and John Heimerson; a brother, John Russell Heimerson; and a nephew, John Jesse Hamilton.

Roger is survived by two sisters: Susan (Lloyd) Gilmore of Hollister, Missouri, and Kay Lynne Heimerson of Taylor, Texas; a daughter, Elizabeth (Jeff) Wagoner Krehbiel of Pratt, Kansas; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. No services are planned at this time. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com .
