Roland “Ron” Ernest Koepp

Roland “Ron” Ernest Koepp, age 84, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 in the comfort of his home.

He was born September 29, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Ernest and Pearl (Tornow) Koepp. On September 4, 1965 in Aurora, Illinois he was united in marriage to Sandra Sue “Sandy” Booten, who preceded him in death on March 10, 2011. Also preceding him in death were his parents.

Surviving are one son, William John “Bill” Koepp of Shell Knob, Missouri; one daughter, Sheri Buchanan and her husband Bill also of Shell Knob, Missouri; one sister, Bernice Ericson and her husband Arthur of Dover, Delaware; six grandchildren, Justin Buchanan and his wife Kelly, Devon Koepp, Cody Koepp, Tyler Claffert, Sara Koepp and Jackie Koepp; six great grandchildren; three very special nieces, Karen and her husband David, Kristine and her husband Douglas and Susie and special great nieces and nephews, Joshua, John, Jacob, Caleb, Joy, Rachel and Salem.

Ron grew up and received his education in Illinois, graduating from West Aurora High School. After school he served in the United Stated Marine Corp. For many years he worked as a self-employed machinist. In 2004 he and Sandy moved to Shell Knob to make their home. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing and enjoying the lake. He was a member of Assembly of God Church in Yorkville, Illinois.

Services will be livestreamed at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at https://www.facebook.com/lakesideshellknob under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Shell Knob. Pastor Dow Escalante will conduct the services. Family burial with military honors will be at Lake Park Memorial Gardens in Shell Knob.
