Ronald Lee Banks

Ronald Lee Banks, age 86, of Washburn, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his home.

He was born August 31, 1934 in Jacket, Missouri the son of Howard and Faye (Norman) Banks. On March 21, 1954 in Exeter, Missouri he was united in marriage to Juanita Brattin, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jeff Banks and his wife Lori and Kevin Banks and his wife Kelly all of Cassville, Missouri; two daughters, Debbie Ross and her husband Bill of Cassville, Missouri and Linda Townsend and her husband Bill of Texas; one brother, James Banks and his wife Betty of Cassville, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and one on the way.


Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Betty Neeley and Margie Fields.


Ronnie graduated from Cassville High School. Most of his life was spent as a postal worker for Cassville Post Office. In 1994 he moved from Barry County to McDonald County to make his home. Several years ago he served as deacon of Corinth Baptist Church and taught the youth Sunday School Class. He loved the Lord and attending church. Ronnie was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan. Some of his favorite pastimes were cattle farming, being with his kids and grandkids and watching them play sports. He also loved fishing and camping with his kids. Ronnie was a very devoted husband to his wife of sixty-seven years.


Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 19, 2021 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Richard Jones, Chaplain Jack Betts and Reverend James Stewart will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri.


The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
