Rose Marie Vinton

Rose Marie Vinton, age 91, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 07, 2019. She entered this world April 29, 1928, in Kilgore, Texas, the daughter of Elbert and Lulu (Hartsfield) Smith. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.

Rose Marie enjoyed going to Branson shows and dining out, traveling and going on cruises, going to the community center and playing Bridge, and being a member of the United Methodist Church in Branson. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The memories made with Rose Marie will be cherished for many years to come.

Rose Marie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Warren Vinton; brother, O. Murl Smith; brother, James Wilson Smith; and brother, Norris Smith.

She is survived by her sister, Frances Harmon of California; son, Mitchell (Carla) Vinton of California; daughter, Judy (John) MacDonald of Hawaii; daughter, Jill (John) Hendrickson of Missouri; grandchildren: Jason, Jeffrey, Jared, Jennifer, Jonah, Joshua, Lydia, and Marina; greatgrandchildren: Joseph, Julia, Jordyn, Beatrix, and Sola; nephew, Gary; nieces: Donna, Gale, and Sandy; and numerous other family and friends.

A memorial service will be on the West coast at a family gathering at a later time, and Rose Marie will be inurned with her husband at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
