Roy Leonard Warwick
Roy Leonard Warwick, age 82, of Branson West, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home December 13, 2019. He entered this life March 17, 1937, in Akeroya, Norway, the son of Oswald and Dagney (Wroldsen) Warwick. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
Roy served as Reverend for many years for the Association of Free Lutheran Congregation. He loved traveling and was an active volunteer for the senior center in the state of Washington. Roy touched many lives and hearts over the years, and many memories will be recalled. Most of all, he loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him. In Roy’s own words of wanting to be remembered, “Worshipping the Lord was not a somber but a joyous experience, preaching the good news and helping others understand God’s word.”
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Oswald and Dagney Warwick; wife, Beverly June Warwick; wife, Ester Louise Warwick; and daughter, Melody June Penner.
He is survived by his son, Bruce L. (Jonnie Mae) Warwick of Branson West, Missouri; daughter, Elizabeth Esther Warwick of Branson, Missouri; and son, Brian Roy (Linda Larson) Warwick of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Christopher, Michael, and Shawn of Spearfish, South Dakota; Derik (Kerri) of Williston, North Dakota; Spencer, Schaefer, Amanda, and Summer of Branson, Missouri; Danielle Fischbach of San Diego, California; Jerica Warwick of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Dominik Penner of Branson, Missouri. Three great-grandchildren survive him: Jake, Conner, and Elijah. Other survivors include three step-grandchildren in St. Cloud, Florida: Meagan, Helen, and Wade; and five step-greatgrandchildren: Aleigha, Jeannette, Harper, Rhilynn, and Jacey.
