Ryan Courtland Hodgson

Ryan Courtland Hodgson, age 43, of Wylie, Texas, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at his home.

He was born April 18, 1976 in Jackson, Tennessee, the son of John Hodgson and Claudia Weston. On April 18, 2009 in Mesa, Arizona, he was united in marriage to Gwen Iversen, who survives. Also surviving are his father, John; three daughters, Karli Kruger of Gilbert, Arizona and Layla and Reagan Hodgson, both of Wylie, Texas; three brothers, Damon Hodgson of Republic, Missouri, John Hodgson Jr. of Dallas, Georgia and Eric Hodgson of Marietta, Georgia and one sister, Karly Hodgson of Marietta, Georgia.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Claudia and grandparents, Betty and Lonnie Weston.

Ryan grew up and received his education in Mesa, Arizona, where he graduated from Dobson High School and Gateway Community College. He worked for many years as a heating and air mechanic before stepping into what he described as the hardest but most rewarding job of his life, stay at home dad. Some of his favorite pastimes included St. Louis Cardinals baseball and woodworking. His girls were his world and he loved his family and friends will all his heart. Ryan was incredibly creative; he could fix anything and was the first one to offer a helping hand.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Rick Cooper will conduct the services. Burial will be at Monett IOOF Cemetery in Monett, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
